Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The light carrier installs by vehicle belt without a mandatory base and can connect to compatible Joie strollers for first-year transfers.

Cons

  • Use ends at 75 cm or 13 kg, and the optional base plus stroller adapters require exact compatibility checks rather than brand-name assumptions.

Shortlist i-Snug 2 when a light removable carrier will genuinely connect the car, a compatible stroller and short carries. The Japanese seat is rear-facing only for babies 40-75 cm and 2.5-13 kg; stop at whichever limit is reached first. It can install directly with a vehicle three-point belt using the green route, so a base is not mandatory. A compatible Joie ISOFIX base makes repeated transfers quicker, but the base and stroller adapters are separate compatibility checks. That convenience is the reason to buy it, not longevity: many babies will need the next rear-facing seat around the first birthday. Before ordering, confirm the exact base, adapter and vehicle fit, practise tightening the belt route, and keep the carry handle in the manual’s required in-car position.
