Aprica RideCrew ISOFIX AC

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The 100-150 cm high-back mode combines a ten-position head support with belt routing that can follow growth.
  • ISOFIX or seat-belt installation plus a 5 kg high-back weight makes it a plausible option for moving between compatible cars.

Cons

  • It is not for children under 100 cm or those who cannot keep the vehicle belt correctly positioned.
  • Removing the backrest also removes the head/body support and side shields, so reaching 135 cm alone is not a reason to switch early.

Aprica RideCrew ISOFIX AC is the next-stage seat for a child who is at least 100 cm and can sit consistently with the vehicle’s three-point belt. Its high-back mode runs from 100-150 cm, with a ten-position head support, belt guides, side shields, and deep body support. ISOFIX keeps the empty booster attached, but the child is still restrained by the vehicle belt; the manual also permits seat-belt installation in a compatible seating position. Backless mode begins at 135 cm and reduces the seat to 2.9 kg, yet removes the head/body support and side shields. Aprica recommends retaining the backrest to 150 cm for posture support. Before buying, check Aprica’s vehicle compatibility list, shoulder- and lap-belt routing, and whether the child remains upright while asleep.
