Burley D'Lite™ X Kids Bike Trailer & Stroller

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • Each seat reclines independently, so siblings do not have to sit at the same angle.
  • The included stroller wheel allows walking after unhitching; suspension can be adjusted for the load.

Cons

  • At 30.4 lb (13.8 kg) and 31.3 in (79.4 cm) wide, the double is a substantial lift and needs generous storage space.
  • Reclining the seats reduces the rear space available for bags.

The double Burley D’Lite X suits siblings who want different seating angles: each seat reclines separately, although doing so takes space from the rear luggage area. Adjustable suspension and the included stroller wheel support trips that mix cycling and walking.

Allow for a 30.4 lb (13.8 kg) lift and a folded size of 94 × 79.4 × 14.3 in (36.2 cm). This is not a small package for a boot or apartment cupboard. Burley sets a limit of 39.7 lb (18 kg) per child and 99.2 lb (45 kg) for children plus cargo. Cycling starts at 12 months; ordinary strolling starts at six months. Children must also sit unsupported with adequate head control; cycling passengers need a helmet. Recline does not make it a newborn cycling trailer.
