Burley D'Lite™ X Kids Bike Trailer & Stroller

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • Each seat reclines independently, so siblings do not have to sit at the same angle.
  • The included pushchair wheel allows walking after unhitching; suspension can be adjusted for the load.

Cons

  • At 13.8 kg/30.4 lb and 79.4 cm/31.3 in wide, the double is a substantial lift and needs generous storage space.
  • Reclining the seats reduces the rear space available for bags.

The double Burley D’Lite X suits siblings who want different seating angles: each seat reclines separately, although doing so takes space from the rear luggage area. Adjustable suspension and the included pushchair wheel support trips that mix cycling and walking.

Allow for a 13.8 kg/30.4 lb lift and a folded size of 94 × 79.4 × 36.2 cm/14.3 in. This is not a small package for a boot or apartment cupboard. Burley sets a limit of 18 kg/39.7 lb per child and 45 kg/99.2 lb for children plus cargo. Cycling starts at 12 months; ordinary strolling starts at six months. Children must also sit unsupported with adequate head control; cycling passengers need a helmet. Recline does not make it a newborn cycling trailer.
