This is the original Cricket with a straight frame, four enclosed wheels and a fixed saddle. It differs from Retrospec’s later Cricket 2, so keep the model name in view when comparing offers. The paired wheels support early seated movement; they do not offer the same leaning challenge as a two-wheel learner.

Retrospec recommends 12–24 months and a maximum of 44 lb. Try the seat before buying: the child needs to push, steer and stop with comfortable foot contact. Use smooth, level surfaces and direct supervision. Non-marking wheels are convenient indoors, while the steering limiter is a control feature rather than a promise that the rider cannot fall.
