Shortlist the UPPAbaby Alta V2 only when your child is truly in the booster stage: at least 40 lb (18.1 kg), at least 38 in, and mature enough to sit correctly without a harness. It solves the parent problem of moving beyond a convertible seat while keeping belt fit consistent, using SecureFit routing, lap-belt positioning, a seven-position headrest, rigid LATCH, and a slimmer shell for tight back seats. The tradeoff is narrow purpose and price. It is booster-only, so it does not help younger children or occasional-spare-seat shoppers. Before buying, check the Canada manual limits, real-vehicle shoulder and lap belt fit, buckle access, and whether your child can stay positioned for the whole drive.
