Diono Radian 3R is worth shortlisting when back-seat width is the binding constraint and you want one seat to move from rear-facing to forward-facing harness and then booster use. Its narrow shell is the point, especially for three-across planning, but the fit is not automatic: the tall profile, recline needs, and belt path still have to work in the actual vehicle. It is less compelling if you want the easiest install or the softest everyday ride. Choose it for packaging and stage span, then verify child fit and vehicle geometry before relying on the three-across promise.
