The Encore X is a useful middle choice when you want suspension and a stroller wheel but do not need independently reclining seats. Its padded bench stays at a fixed angle, and the suspension cannot be adjusted for one child versus two. Jogging requires a separate kit.

Burley lists 24 lb (10.9 kg) including the towbar, hitch and flag, with folded dimensions of 36 in (91.4 cm) × 31 in (78.7 cm) × 12 in (30.5 cm). Allow for that width in your storage space. The limits are 39.7 lb (18 kg) per child and 99.2 lb (45 kg) including cargo. Cycling starts at 12 months, ordinary strolling at six; unsupported sitting and head control are also required. Cycling passengers need helmets.
