Burley Dash FM is the Dash to consider when you want a rear child seat but do not have, or do not trust, a compatible rear rack. The frame-mount setup makes sense for a regular family bike with enough seat-tube space, and the Burley shell gives a more conventional enclosed passenger spot than front perch seats. It is a good fit for local school or daycare rides where the adult wants the cockpit free and the child carried behind the saddle.

The limitation is installation geometry. Frame mounting depends on tube shape, bracket position, rear-wheel clearance, saddle height, and the adult rider’s heel path, so it can be wrong even when the child is within the seat’s range. Buy it only after checking the bike around the seat tube; compare the rack-mount Dash or a trailer if the frame area is crowded.
