Burley Encore X

Pros / Cons
Pros
- The included stroller wheel lets you continue on foot after cycling; no separate walking kit is needed.
- Padded bench seating and suspension add comfort without separate seat-recline controls.
Cons
- Seats do not recline, and suspension cannot be tuned for changing loads.
- The folded 91.4 × 78.7 × 30.5 cm package still needs substantial boot or storage space.

The Encore X is a useful middle choice when you want suspension and a stroller wheel but do not need independently reclining seats. Its padded bench stays at a fixed angle, and the suspension cannot be adjusted for one child versus two. Jogging requires a separate kit.
Burley lists 10.9 kg including the towbar, hitch and flag, with folded dimensions of 91.4 × 78.7 × 30.5 cm. Allow for that width in your storage space. The limits are 18 kg per child and 45 kg including cargo. Cycling starts at 12 months, ordinary strolling at six; unsupported sitting and head control are also required. Cycling passengers need helmets.
