Urban Iki Junior

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The folding backrest, hip belt and adjustable footrests give an older child a defined seated position.
  • An integrated lock stays with the seat when it is fitted to the rack.

Cons

  • It only fits a compatible rear carrier, so families without a suitable rack need another mounting type.

The Urban Iki Junior gives a bigger child a rear-rack place to ride when they have outgrown a toddler shell but still need to travel with an adult. Urban Iki lists use for roughly ages five to ten and a maximum child weight of 35 kg. The seat has a folding backrest, hip belt, adjustable footrests and an integrated lock. It mounts to a compatible rear carrier rather than directly to the frame. Check that the carrier is 120–175 mm wide and rated for the load, then confirm foot, heel and spoke clearance on your bike. This is a carrier-specific option, not a fit for every bicycle.
