Hamax Kiss is worth shortlisting if you want a rear child seat that mounts to the bike frame instead of depending on a rear rack. Its appeal is the simpler rear-seat layout: the cockpit stays clear, and the child sits behind you in a familiar commuting position.

The tradeoff is frame fit. A frame-mounted rear seat still has to clear the seat tube, rear wheel, saddle area, and the adult rider’s heels, so it is not a blind buy for unusual frames.
