The Oxford Little Explorer is a padded top-tube seat for a child who can ride in front of the adult on the bicycle. Oxford gives an age range of three to six years and a maximum weight of 22 kg/48.5 lb; foot pegs and straps support the child’s feet. It fits crossbars up to 50 mm and is intended for steel or alloy frames. Oxford excludes carbon-fibre frames. Before buying, measure the top tube, check frame material and confirm there is room for the child’s legs and the rider’s pedalling; this open seat is a different setup from a rear passenger carrier with a harness.
