Kinderkraft RAPID 2 suits a preschool rider whose inside leg works with the published 33.5-41.5 cm/13.2-16.3 in saddle range and who will ride beyond very smooth pavement. Its 30.5 cm/12 in air tyres provide more cushioning on park paths and packed gravel than solid foam wheels, while the basket and bell add practical appeal. The tradeoff is weight and upkeep: at 3.7 kg/8.2 lb it is less pleasant to carry home than the lightest starter bikes, and pneumatic tyres need pressure checks and can puncture. Measure the child’s inside leg rather than relying on age, set the saddle low enough for both feet to land flat, and decide whether the usual routes justify the extra tyre maintenance before buying.
