A steel trailer with a walking wheel to manage

The JBT03A1 suits outings that combine a bicycle ride with a walk: its swivel front wheel provides the walking setup. That wheel must come off before towing. The steel cabin has two five-point harnesses, but the walking conversion does not make it a running buggy.

Allow at most 22.7 kg/50 lb per child and 45.4 kg/100 lb total, including luggage. The selected fit chart gives 18 months–5 years. The manual’s earlier recommendation of at least 12 months also requires independent sitting and head control; it does not justify ignoring the selected chart. Fit the harnesses and helmets to the actual children before the first ride.

Check the attachment, not just wheel diameter

The selected bicycle-wheel range is 55.9-71.1 cm/22-28 in. The supplied hitch is intended for quick-release or nutted rear axles, not thru-axles. The manual requires at least five full nut-thread turns and a secondary strap secured around the bicycle frame. Check these conditions on your own bicycle before buying.

Keep towing at or below 10 mph, about 16 km/h, and do not tow with a motorized bicycle. The brake is for holding the trailer stationary, not controlling speed while running. If you want cushioning from suspension, do not choose this version on its earlier suspension description: a supported suspension mechanism was not established.
