Chicco Eco+ Balance Bike

Pros / Cons
Pros
- The 34 cm saddle and 36 cm minimum inseam make initial fit more concrete than age alone.
- Puncture-proof wheels need no pumping, and the moulded frame has no saddle-height adjustment to set.
Cons
- The fixed saddle cannot be raised as the child grows; the manual excludes children over 36 months.
- No hand brake; use only flat, unobstructed ground with adult supervision and protective equipment.

Chicco Eco+ Green Hopper is a small, fixed-seat two-wheel learner, not a bike designed to grow through several preschool years. Its moulded frame and puncture-proof wheels suit short practice on flat, clear ground. The curved saddle lets a child shift their sitting position, but it is bolted to the frame rather than raised on an adjustable seatpost.
The fit limits are specific: 18–36 months, at least 80 cm tall, minimum 36 cm inseam and no more than 25 kg. Chicco’s packaging shows a 34 cm saddle; both feet still need to sit flat with knees slightly bent for foot braking. The manual rules out slopes and children over 36 months, even below the weight limit. Use adult supervision and a helmet with knee and elbow protection.
