The Alpina Pico is worth comparing when you want a straightforward bike helmet and do not need a light or another accessory to drive the choice. That simplicity puts more weight on the fitting check: start with the child’s actual head measurement, set the rear adjustment, and confirm that the shell stays low and stable while the child looks side to side. Check that the straps do not rub and that the chin strap allows natural movement. If the child runs warm, assess ventilation during a short fitting session without trading away stability.
