We used a Bugaboo Donkey for many years, and it was such a joy! Indeed, Bugaboo is famous for their premium feeling and quality. You’ll often hear people say how their Bugaboo worked flawlessly for a decade. Our Bugaboo was 8 years old and served our two children (for a while both at the same time) once we finally sold it. It worked flawlessly and the only maintenance needed was to change the inner tube of a wheel. Newer models use puncture proof wheels, so you wouldn’t even need to do this anymore. Basically, if you want the equivalent of Apple for strollers, you found your brand.

As mentioned, we sold it once it was 8 years old. The value was still substantial and by selling it we actually ended up having a premium stroller for many years for the price of a mid-range stroller. Naturally, the second hand market might differ depending on where you live.

We loved everything about the stroller. The suspension, large and soft wheels, and high quality build made it easy to drive and both our kids feel asleep and stayed asleep during the smooth ride - even when the terrain was a bit rough. The height adjustable handle is wonderful if you happen to have a little height difference among the drivers. There’s plenty of space for when you’re out shopping or perhaps going out on a picnic. It’s also easy to fold and becomes surprisingly small, especially if you take of the wheels which can be done by just pressing a button and pulling them off.

One slight disadvantage is that it is quite wide when in duo mode (for two kids). You need to be careful where you go, e.g. some supermarkets might have too narrow aisles. A workaround for this is to use wheeled board. We just paid attention to where we walked. It is narrow enough so that it rarely was a problem for us.
