Pros / Cons
Pros
- The set includes a rain poncho and a neck pillow that attaches to the harness.
- Adjustable backrest height and 20° recline let you adapt the seat as your child grows.
Cons
- This Caress adapter needs a 120–160 mm rack rated for at least 27 kg, not just any e-bike carrier.
- The neck pillow does not make the seat suitable for a child who cannot yet sit unaided.

This Hamax Caress bundle combines the reclining rack-mounted seat with a neck pillow and rain poncho. It suits regular rides where weather protection and an adjustable resting position are useful. The pillow attaches to the harness; it does not make the seat suitable before your child can sit unaided for the entire ride. Start around nine months, within the 22 kg and 110 cm limits.
The newer two-bolt adapter needs a child-seat-compatible rack 120–160 mm wide, with 10–20 mm tubes and at least 27 kg capacity. Hamax’s wider 120–175 mm adapter figure is not the Caress limit. The mount must clear any e-bike battery, and the additional safety strap attaches to the frame or seatpost. The adjustable backrest and 20° recline are useful only after that mounting fit is established.
