Shortlist the FLIP when one vehicle needs to bridge parent-pushed outings and a later independently ridden balance bike. Its five stages are meaningfully different: push mode, pedalled tricycle, pedal-free tricycle, two-wheel balance bike and pedal bicycle. That progression can postpone a second purchase, but it does not make FLIP the best pure balance bike. At 5.7 kg, with a parent handle, harness, pedals and conversion joints, it is heavier and more involved than a simple two-wheeler. KikkaBoo gives a 31-36.5 cm saddle-height range and an age guide of one to five; the real fit test is secure foot contact in the chosen mode. Before each conversion, check every lock and decide where the removed parts will be stored.
