The original Kids Ride Shotgun MTB Seat is an open front position for a child who can stay awake, hold on and follow instructions on a calm ride. Shotgun specifies ages 2–5 and 12 kg-27 kg/26.5-59.5 lb. It has no shell or harness, so it is unsuitable for naps or for a child who cannot maintain position.

This standard seat clamps to the mountain-bike frame rather than the steerer/post arrangement used by other Shotgun versions. Check frame material and shape, cable routing, front-wheel and knee clearance, and use the supplied frame protection. Choose it for short shared MTB rides; use a harnessed rear seat or trailer when passenger containment, cargo or broader bike compatibility matters.
