A tow-only aluminium cabin, not the steel A1
The blue JBT02S1 is the aluminium double trailer with a blue towbar clamp. It is not the steel JBT02A1 previously named here, and it does not include a walking-wheel conversion. That makes the distinction important if you need to keep children aboard after parking the bicycle.
Each passenger may weigh up to 24.9 kg/55 lb, within a 49.9 kg/110 lb total that includes luggage. The selected chart gives 18 months–5 years. Although the manual recommends at least 12 months with head control and independent sitting, that earlier wording does not replace the selected range. Use the two fitted harnesses and correctly adjusted helmets; age alone does not establish fit.
Secure both parts of the towing attachment
The towbar slides into the blue clamp, where both steel locking bolts must engage. At the bicycle, the manual requires the supplied axle hitch plus a secondary strap around the frame. Quick-release or nutted axles need at least five full nut-thread turns; thru-axles are not supported by this hitch. The selected 22–71.1 cm/28 in bicycle-wheel range does not resolve these axle checks.
The brake is for parking, not for slowing a moving trailer. Maximum towing speed is 10 mph, about 16 km/h, with no motorized bicycles or running. If walking conversion is essential, choose a model whose actual supplied kit supports it.
