A double cabin for rides, not walking stops
The Basalt Rover Plus 6774 has two five-point harnesses and a folding aluminium frame. Choose it when both children will travel by bike and you do not need a stroller at the destination. It has no walking conversion; a shopping stop means unloading the passengers rather than changing wheels.
Each child may weigh up to 18.1 kg/40 lb, with 36.3 kg/80 lb of children combined. The manual separately permits 39.5 kg/87 lb for children and luggage together: the extra allowance is not permission to exceed either child’s limit. For one passenger, use the documented central harness arrangement instead of leaving the child on one side.
Establish child and bicycle fit
The manual starts at one year, but also requires independent sitting, head support and a correctly fitted helmet. Adjust each five-point harness to the actual passenger. Confirm the axle hitch fits your bicycle and attach the secondary frame strap; the official 20–73.7 cm/29 in bicycle-wheel range does not resolve every axle design, and thru-axles are not recommended.
Towing is limited to 10 mph, about 16 km/h, with a lower speed when conditions require it. This is not a running trailer. The offer’s current-versus-legacy trailer-wheel generation remains unresolved, so an assumed 50.8 cm/20 in trailer wheel should not drive the purchase.
