  • Four footrest heights and an adjustable support arm help match leg reach and the mounting position.

  • Folding sleeves must fully cover the joints to avoid the documented hand-and-foot pinch points.

A folding seat for a compatible mountain bike

The gold XIEEIX ZD002 suits parents who want to remove and carry the child seat between rides: its guardrail and footrests fold after removal. That portability comes with folding joints to check, rather than a fixed passenger shell.

The mount needs a 1.3–4.8 cm/1.9 in-wide top tube and a rearward-angled seatpost no more than 3.4 cm/1.3 in in diameter. Adjusting the support arm must still leave room to pedal and steer normally; the separate ordinary-bike version is not interchangeable evidence of fit.

The maximum is 22.7 kg/50 lb, but no numeric minimum age is established. The child must sit upright, fit the supplied belt and reach both footrests at one of four heights. Fully cover the folding joints with their sleeves: exposed joints can pinch hands or feet.
