Thule Yepp 2 Maxi Frame Mount carries a child behind the rider without relying on a child-seat-rated rack. Its wipe-clean foam shell, five-point harness and adjustable footrests suit regular short trips. The frame bracket is the deciding fit check: the installation diagram permits round seat tubes of 28–40 mm or oval tubes up to 40 × 55 mm, with sufficient clear mounting space and wheel clearance. It excludes carbon-fibre frames and full-suspension layouts shown in the instructions.

Check the limit for the market and the supplied seat: Thule specifies 9-22 kg and a maximum height of 110 cm for the European version; the US/Canada diagram gives 9.1-18.1 kg, and the safety guide caps that load at 18 kg. The child must be at least nine months old and able to sit unaided for the whole journey, with adequate head control while wearing a helmet. Ask a paediatrician before carrying a child under one year. Confirm heel clearance and unobstructed brakes and steering after mounting. Hold the bicycle during loading; a kickstand does not make it safe to leave a child seated unattended.
