Lionelo Toni

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • A 26-32 cm saddle range and 2.3 kg weight suit unusually small two-wheel beginners.
  • The 120° steering limiter and footrests support controlled early gliding.

Cons

  • Solid PU wheels transmit more chatter than pneumatic tyres on rough paving.
  • There is no brake, so early sessions should stay slow and away from slopes.

Lionelo Toni is a convincing first two-wheel balance bike for a small toddler only when the fit works: at the lowest 26 cm saddle setting, the child should sit with both feet flat and knees slightly bent. The 2.3 kg nylon-frame bike is light enough for an early rider to push and for an adult to carry home. Its saddle and handlebar adjust, while a 120° steering limiter, rounded grips and footrests support the move from walking to short glides. The tradeoff is terrain and speed. Its 25 cm solid PU wheels need no inflation but cushion rough paving less than pneumatic tyres, and Toni has no brake. Use a correctly fitted helmet, inspect and tighten the assembly, and begin on a level traffic-free surface—not a slope.
