Bikey Cool ELM is the rack-mounted version, not the similarly named frame-mounted seat. Its hand knob and locking ring make removal practical between family rides, but the rack must meet EN ISO 11243:2016, be 120–175 mm wide and support 27 kg. Compatible wheel sizes, in inches, are 26, 27.5, 28 and 29. Folding bikes, rear-suspension bikes and pedelecs above 25 km/h are excluded.

A child must be at least nine months old and able to sit unaided with head upright in a helmet for the whole ride. The limits are 22 kg and 110 cm; age alone does not establish fit. Adjust the harness and footrests, secure the feet, and keep hands, clothing and straps clear of moving parts.

The manufacturer’s manual, hosted by ManualsLib, also requires the separate frame safety belt, wheel protection and covered exposed saddle springs. Allow heel clearance when positioning the seat. Hold the bike while loading and never leave it parked with a child unattended.
