The 14- and 40.6 cm I BUY IT bikes are separate sizes, not one bike with wheels that grow. The 35.6 cm version has a stated 41-51 cm saddle range and 60-67 cm handlebar range; the 40.6 cm version raises those to 43-53 cm and 65-72 cm. Use the lower saddle setting as your first fit test: both feet must sit flat with room to bend the knees, regardless of the advertised age band.
