Pros

Cons

  • At 10.7 kg it is clearly heavier than ultracompact travel strollers, so lifting it into a boot is a two-hand job.
  • The folded package (83 x 57 x 34 cm) will not fit plane overhead bins or very small car boots; measure the space before buying.

Shortlist the Hauck Rapid 4D if you want one sturdy buggy from birth to about four years for pavements, parks and car trips — not a plane-cabin model. The backrest reclines to near flat (117–162 degrees), so a newborn naps without a carrycot, and the 76-113 cm adjustable handle suits different-height parents. Suspended, puncture-proof rubber wheels cushion rough ground, while the UPF 50+ canopy, five-point harness, removable bumper bar, cup holder and rain cover complete the kit. You accept the tradeoff: at 10.7 kg with an 83 x 57 x 34 cm fold it is a two-hand lift that needs real boot space. Measure your boot first, and if you fly often, compare cabin-size travel strollers instead.
