uvex hlmt 4 cc Kids Helmet

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The 260 g in-mould shell, ten vents, IAS dial, adjustable straps, and washable pads suit frequent mixed wheeled use.
  • Separate 51–55 and 55-58 cm shells make the initial size decision explicit.

Cons

  • The optional rear LED is not included, so this is not a built-in-visibility choice.
  • Adjustment cannot rescue the wrong shell size; stable level fit matters more than brand or colour.

Shortlist the uvex hlmt 4 cc when a child fits either the 51–55 or 55-58 cm shell and wants one light, vented helmet for cycling, balance-bike, scooter, or skate sessions. Measure first rather than buying room to grow. The IAS dial, adjustable FAS straps, Monomatic buckle, ten vents, and washable pads make repeat use practical; an optional rear LED is sold separately. The tradeoff is that adjustment features cannot rescue the wrong shell size, and this is not the obvious choice if built-in low-light visibility or MIPS is essential. Before riding, confirm the delivered EN 1078 marking, set the helmet level, and have the child shake their head: it should stay put without relying on an overtight chin strap.
