Nania Belem i-Size

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The nine-position headrest and shoulder-belt guide let the high back track a child from 100-150 cm.
  • Installation uses the vehicle three-point belt, which suits a second car without requiring ISOFIX anchors.

Cons

  • There is no internal harness or ISOFIX attachment: the child must be mature enough to keep the vehicle belt correctly positioned throughout every journey.
  • Although the manual allows backless use above 135 cm, removing the back gives up its shoulder-belt guide and side support.

Nania Belem i-Size is for the booster years, not for babies or harnessed toddlers. Its R129/03 manual limits use to 100-150 cm, forward-facing with an approved three-point belt. Choose it for a second car when a straightforward non-ISOFIX seat is more useful than extra fittings; there is no internal harness. Set the nine-position headrest with its lower edge level with, or no more than 2 cm above, the shoulder. The lap belt must sit low across the upper thighs and the shoulder section cross the chest away from the neck. The manual permits removing the back only above 135 cm, but keeping it retains shoulder-belt guidance and side support. Before buying, check the vehicle handbook, buckle access and seat-back contact. Belt the empty booster in, too, and replace it after a serious collision.
