Joie Savvy Lite Air is for parents who want mesh and a buckled front carrier with a built-in newborn setting. Its three modes cover two stages of inward carrying plus outward facing, rather than three locations on the adult’s body. Choose another carrier if carrying on your back is essential.
The integrated newborn seat is for birth to around four months, 3.5-6.5 kg and at least 51 cm tall. The infant inward mode starts at four months and 6.5 kg, up to 14 kg. Outward facing starts at six months and 9 kg, also up to 14 kg, and the baby must hold their head upright. Meet the developmental, age and weight requirements together; turning outward is not an automatic birthday milestone.
The magnetic shoulder buckles and lumbar support are worth trying with the adult who will carry most often. Follow the Savvy Lite Air manual for the newborn seat and leg-opening buttons, which remain required below 7 kg. Keep the baby’s face visible and unobstructed, with room for head movement. If the baby falls asleep, transfer them to a firm, flat infant sleep surface. Joie prohibits use by someone with a pacemaker because of the magnetic buckles.
