Bobike Go Maxi CFS

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The seat fits a defined range of luggage carriers, with a one-knob attachment and no seat-tube mounting.
  • The adjustable three-point belt and 12-position footrests let you adapt the restraint and foot support as your child grows.

Cons

  • It is not a universal rack fit: check the 120–175 mm width, 10–16 mm tube diameter and 27 kg minimum rack rating before buying.
  • The manual excludes folding bikes, bicycles with rear suspension and carbon-fibre frames; check your bike against those exclusions as well as the rack limits. The manufacturer manual also excludes mopeds, scooters and speed pedelecs above 25 km/h.

Bobike GO Maxi CFS suits a family whose bicycle has a compatible rear carrier and who wants a rear-mounted child seat. It is intended for children from about 9 months to 6 years, up to 22 kg and 110 cm.

Check the carrier before buying: it must be 120–175 mm wide, use 10–16 mm tubes and carry at least 27 kg. The manual excludes folding bikes, bikes with rear suspension, carbon-fibre frames, mopeds, scooters and speed pedelecs above 25 km/h. If your bike or carrier falls outside those limits, or you cannot verify the fit, choose a seat with documented compatibility for your setup.
