The uvex oyo is unusually well targeted at babies and toddlers riding in a child seat or starting short independent rides. Its light in-mould shell, extra forehead coverage and soft rear pad address the awkward contact between a small helmet and a seat back better than a generic older-child helmet. Two small size ranges make measuring more useful than relying on an age label.
Check the complete riding setup, not just circumference. The rear of the helmet should not be pushed forward by the child-seat backrest, and the shell must stay level without obscuring vision. The LED is an optional accessory rather than an included light, so confirm compatibility and cost if rear visibility is part of your shortlist.
