Polisport XXS Baby

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The 190 g construction and 44-48 cm fit specifically suit babies and small toddlers in a bike seat or on a balance bike.

Cons

  • The very small size range will be outgrown quickly; this is not a long-lived choice for an older child.

The Polisport XXS Baby fills a real gap for very small heads: its 44-48 cm range and roughly 190 g construction can suit a baby or small toddler who cannot get a stable fit in a typical child helmet. Six vents, an insect net and dial adjustment add useful basics, especially for a passenger in a child seat or a toddler on a balance bike.

This is a short-stage purchase, not a helmet to grow into for years. Measure again whenever the fit begins to feel snug, and check that a child-seat backrest does not push the helmet forward. If the shell cannot stay level without excessive dial tension, move to a different shape or the next appropriate size rather than accepting pressure points.
