The ALPINA PICO is a straightforward choice for a child who needs a light, open cycling helmet in the 50-55 cm range. Its in-mould construction, plentiful ventilation, insect net and small visor suit everyday pavement rides and practice loops, particularly when a bulky skate or full-face shape would be unnecessary.

Choose it only after measuring: the single size leaves little margin for a child already approaching 55 cm. This standard PICO also has no integrated rear light, so compare the PICO Flash or plan separate visibility equipment if evening riding matters. After adjusting the dial and straps, have the child shake and turn their head; the shell should remain level without pressure points or rearward movement.
