Polisport Koolah CFS

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • Certified TÜV GS – EN 14344:2022, confirmed on Polisport's official product page.
  • Tool-free mounting and release with a simultaneous left-right mechanism: turn right to latch, left to remove the seat, per the listing.

Cons

  • Carrier load figures disagree: the listing requires a rack with a minimum 27 kg load rating, while Polisport's official page refers to carriers 'up to 25 kg'. Check the ISO 11243 marking and load rating of your carrier before buying.
  • Must never be mounted on bicycles with rear shock absorbers, per Polisport's official page.

Polisport Koolah CFS is worth considering when a family already owns an ISO 11243 rear carrier and wants a straightforward removable seat. Its clamp installs without tools, useful when one bicycle alternates between child transport and ordinary trips. Four footrest positions and two harness heights support adjustment through the 9-22 kg range. The bicycle check is as important as the seat: the rack must carry 25 kg, measure 120–175 mm wide and use 10–16 mm tubes. Polisport also excludes rear-suspension bicycles. Confirm every dimension and standard before buying; e-bike compatibility does not make the fitting universal or override the carrier requirements.
