Polisport Groovy MIK-HD

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The click-in MIK-HD interface is clean for compatible e-bikes or city bikes with the right certified rack.

Cons

  • It is a poor blind buy if the rack is plain MIK, below the required load rating, or not clearly ISO 11243 child-seat compatible.

Shortlist the Polisport Groovy MIK-HD only if your bike already has a true MIK-HD carrier approved for child-seat use. That specificity is the point: it gives a clean rear-seat setup for a family bike or e-bike with the right rack, but it is the wrong buy for an ordinary rack or a non-HD MIK system. The parent problem it solves is avoiding frame clamps when the carrier interface is already there. The tradeoff is compatibility risk. Before buying, check the MIK-HD marking, rack load rating, child size, footrests and straps, wheel protection, frame safety belt routing, harness condition, and the current mounting instructions.
