Thule Yepp Nexxt 2 Maxi Rack Mount

Pros / Cons
Pros
- Rack mounting keeps the cockpit and frame clamp free while retaining the Nexxt soft seat and 22 kg child limit.
Cons
- It depends on a proper rear rack interface and load rating; a vague carrier spec should stop the purchase.

Thule Yepp Nexxt 2 Maxi Rack Mount is the premium rear-rack choice when the bike already has a compatible carrier and you prefer the lighter Nexxt shell over the classic Yepp shape. Thule positions the Maxi for children from about 9 months to 6 years, up to 22 kg and 110 cm, with a 5-point harness and a soft, shock-absorbing seat.
The rack standard is the key check. A rack-mounted child seat needs a carrier that is rated and shaped for the job, plus enough heel and wheel clearance once the child is on board. It is not the best pick for bikes with uncertain racks; choose the frame-mount Nexxt only when the bike frame is the clearly approved mounting point.
