Polisport Groovy MIK-HD Rear Child Bike Seat

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The click-in MIK-HD interface is clean for compatible e-bikes or city bikes with the right certified rack.

Cons

  • It is a poor blind buy if the rack is plain MIK, below the required load rating, or not clearly ISO 11243 child-seat compatible.

Polisport Groovy MIK-HD is a fit-first shortlist option, not a universal rear seat. Polisport says this version clicks into MIK-HD luggage carriers, carries children from about 9 months to 6 years up to 22 kg and 110 cm, and needs an ISO 11243:2016 MIK-HD rack rated to 27 kg. That makes it attractive on compatible Italian city bikes and e-bikes because the install is cleaner than a clamp-on frame seat.

The boundary is narrow: MIK-HD is not the same as plain MIK. Before buying, check the logo on the rack, the load rating, wheel and heel clearance, and whether your bike maker allows a child seat there. If any of that is unclear, choose a frame-mounted seat or a rack system with clearer compatibility.
