Polisport Groovy Maxi CFS

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The tool-free CFS clamp makes the seat practical to remove after a nursery run, while the adjustable footrests and 3-point harness grow with one child up to 22 kg.

Cons

  • Compatibility is strict: it needs a suitable ISO 11243 rack rated to at least 27 kg, 120–175 mm wide, with round rails; spring clamps, elastic straps and shaped rails can prevent safe installation.

Shortlist the Polisport Groovy CFS when your bike already has the right rack and you want to remove the seat without tools. Its clamp fits a 120–175 mm-wide ISO 11243 carrier rated for at least 27 kg; Polisport’s current page specifies round rails and excludes spring clamps, elastic straps, shaped rails and asymmetric racks. The seat weighs 2.5 kg and carries a child from 9-22 kg, with a 3-point harness, adjustable footrests, foot protection and a secondary frame strap.

Do not use “from 9 months” as the readiness test. The child must sit unsupported and hold up a correctly fitted helmet; independent safety guidance also stresses that a rear passenger changes balance and braking. Check every clamp and strap before riding, keep feet secured, and practise with the loaded bike before carrying the child.
