Hydra’s removable chin guard is the reason to consider it over an ordinary open-face helmet. The selected S size adjusts across 51-55 cm. Test it with the guard attached, particularly if the child wears glasses: the frame shape and cheek space can decide whether this helmet works for them. The rear dial cannot compensate for an unsuitable shell shape.
The peak adjusts vertically and the cheek padding can be removed for cleaning. Follow the supplied instructions when changing configuration or washing the pads. Meteor states EN1078 compliance; check any bike-park or downhill helmet requirement separately before treating this as the right equipment for that venue.
