Chicco Taormina

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The padded seat reclines, with a most-reclined setting specified for the first six months.

Cons

  • At 6.5 kg and 27 cm × 52.5 cm × 61 cm folded, check the lift and storage fit before relying on it for frequent carrying or flights.
  • For birth through 6 months, the manual specifies the most-reclined backrest position; follow the manual as the child grows.

Chicco Taormina is for families who want a practical fold for car, lift and station stops with a handle for carrying it once folded. It weighs 6.5 kg and folds to 27 × 52.5 × 61 cm; the one-hand mechanism leaves it standing on its own, and the bumper bar can be used as a carry handle. Those dimensions are useful for planning storage, but they do not establish cabin acceptance, so check your airline and measure your boot or cupboard. The padded reclining seat, reducer and UV50+ water-repellent canopy support everyday outings; the canopy is not a separate rain cover. The manual sets the limit at 22 kg or 4 years, whichever comes first, and recommends the most-reclined backrest from birth to 6 months. Check whether the folded lift and compact wheels suit your routes. Compare other options in the travel stroller shortlist.
