Thule Yepp 2 Maxi Frame Mount

Pros / Cons

Pros

  • The rear frame bracket gives a harnessed Yepp setup on bikes without a child-seat-rated carrier.

Cons

  • Frame shape and clearance must match; do not treat the frame version as a universal e-bike solution.

Thule Yepp 2 Maxi Frame Mount is the shortlist fit when you want the classic Yepp rear seat but your bike is not set up around a carrier. The foam seat is easy to wipe down, has a 5-point harness, and keeps the child behind the rider for everyday city, school, or riverside path use. The EU child boundary to check is 9-22 kg and 110 cm.

The mount is still specific. Thule’s frame version needs the right seat-tube area and enough rear clearance, so compact frames, rear suspension, batteries, and unusual tube shapes can make it a poor choice. Buy it when the frame is clearly compatible and the child is still in the Maxi range; compare a rack-mount Yepp, cargo bike, or trailer when the bracket fit is uncertain.
