The GO UP combines a rear adjustment dial with six battery-powered LEDs. Steady and flashing modes give a parent an additional visibility cue, but neither brightness nor the light housing establishes helmet fit. Choose the correct size for the child’s measured head and check that the shell stays level without rocking.
Before each outing, check the straps, buckle and light operation. A flat battery removes the lighting benefit, and this helmet light does not replace the bicycle’s own lights and reflectors. Follow the supplied instructions for the battery compartment. The exact helmet’s activity markings and instructions still need checking; an illuminated shell is not evidence of suitability for every sport.
