A convertible seat with an early carriage limit

Graco Modes Trio reuses its reversible seat as a pramette, avoiding a separate carrycot shell to store. The reviewed Canadian system also includes the SnugRide 35 Lite LX infant car seat and base for car-to-stroller transfers. That combination is useful when you want several configurations around one frame, but each component has its own stopping point.

Pramette use ends when the baby pushes up on hands and knees or exceeds 6.8 kg/15 lb, whichever comes first; it is not a sleep space. The stroller’s separate limit is 22.5 kg/49.6 lb or 114.3 cm/45 in. Try the packing sequence before buying: folding requires the seat upright and facing forward, with both release triggers operated.
