Diono Everett NXT is a sensible high-back option for a mature child who has outgrown a forward-facing harness and falls within 18.1-54.4 kg/40-120 lb and 96.5-160 cm/38-63 in. Its seven-position headrest gives the shoulder-belt guide room to move as the child grows, and rigid LATCH keeps the unoccupied booster anchored. LATCH does not restrain the child, however: every ride still requires the vehicle’s lap-and-shoulder belt. Try it in the intended back-seat position and check that the lap belt lies snug and low on the hips, the shoulder belt crosses the centre of the shoulder, and the child stays upright. Also confirm provincial rules, the Canadian certification mark and the delivered manual before use.
